Each year, BKAA awards multiple scholarships to selected Berkeley undergraduate students. The BKAA Undergraduate Scholarship was created to recognize and award current Cal undergraduates, who have made or plan to make significant and/or unique contributions to the Korean American community, either at Berkeley or in their hometowns.
Application Requirements:
1. Must be a current UC Berkeley undergraduate student;
2. Demonstrated financial need;
3. Scholastic or other achievements; and
4. A commitment to serve the Korean American community.
How to Apply & Deadline
HOW TO APPLY. The applicant must complete the application form and provide a current unofficial transcript, resume, and personal statement.
The personal statement should be no longer than 2 pages and should describe the following:
(a) The applicant’s financial status, including any financial aid being received and the applicant’s present employment, if any;
(b) The applicant’s scholastic achievements, other awards or accomplishments; and
(c) The applicant’s past or current service to the Korean American community and/or the applicant’s plans to serve the Korean American community in the future.
The applicant may submit other materials or documents that support his or her application, so long as it can be sent via email.
DEADLINE. The completed application and requested documents must be submitted now until November 15, 2024 no later than 11:59 pm (PT) via email to:
